Supported AI Providers

The following table lists the AI model providers supported by TeXRA, along with their operating headquarters and links to their respective terms and privacy policies. When you select a provider, your content is transmitted to that provider's API endpoints and is subject to their terms.

Access Modes
- Personal API Keys: When you use your own API keys, requests go directly from your local VS Code instance to the provider. No data passes through TeXRA servers.
- Researcher Access Program: When you use the Researcher Access Program, requests are routed through a TeXRA-operated relay (
remote.texra.ai) before being forwarded to the provider. Your content temporarily transits our infrastructure but is not permanently stored.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for selecting providers that comply with the data protection laws applicable to you (e.g., GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA). Some providers operate in jurisdictions with different data protection standards. Review each provider's policies before use.
